The project is the subject of an agreement between the Agency for Digital Italy of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the DIITET-CNR. The CNR Institutes involved are ICAR, IIT and the RSI Structure of the General Management.

The main objective of the project is the realization of advanced services for the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Up to now, regulatory and implementation efforts have rightly focused on the implementation of the national record and services infrastructure for the memorization and consultation of documents. There are still other types of services to be defined and designed to offer advanced functionalities to citizens, health professionals, researchers and managers, in order to fully exploit all the potential offered by the EHR. The evolution of the EHR is therefore the central instrument of the Healthcare System that involves all aspects of digital health to achieve objectives such as: improving the care process; support for operational processes; improvement of the quality of services; reduction of public spending; cooperation between the public administrations involved at both national and European level.
